Brain Storming

The aim of brainstorming is to give you lots of ideas.

You aren’t interested in thought-through plans, or detailed suggestions - you are just interested in getting more ideas.

The rules are:

Quantity
No criticism
Unusual ideas welcome
Combine and improve ideas
Avoid criticising ideas - instead, use each insane idea as a star ting point for your next suggestion.
At the end of the brainstorming session, list all the ideas before weighing them up.

A common mistake is to focus on a single idea, rather than getting lots more ideas. This is not brainstorming.

If you find yourself running out of ideas, walk through each part of the system and think, "What could it be in there?" to prompt some ideas.
